Dr. Tova Hartman Halbertal is Rabbi Hartman's daughter. Well educated, Dr. Halbertal received a Master in Jewish Philosophy from Hebrew University, a Master in Counseling Psychology from Boston College and holds a Ph.D. in Psychology from the Harvard University Graduate School of Education. She currently lectures on the areas of adolescent sexuality, culture, and the psychology of gender differences at Hebrew University's School of Education in Jerusalem.
Before teaching she worked as a clinician at the Jerusalem Women's Counseling Center for two years. Dr. Halbertal has written many articles on gender, religion, and education.
She is one of the founding principals of Shira Hadasha, a new traditional synagogue in Jerusalem. She will focus her lectures on the common struggles of women of different faiths. . . . short bio
