Jackie Maxwell is the Artistic Director of the Shaw Festival at Niagara on the Lake, Ontario. The Shaw Festival was started in 1962, and is unique for its “plays about the beginning of the modern world.” Maxwell has taught at New York University, the National Theatre School in Montreal, and Banff Centre for the Arts. She has also helped establish programs at many theater companies. She is currently a guest artist and lecturer at the University of Toronto Graduate Centre for the Study of Drama.
