Al Staggs is a character. In fact, he's thirty or more characters whom he brings to life to rave reviews all over the world.
Holder of a B.A. from Hardin-Simmons University, an M.R.E. from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, a Th.M. from Harvard Divinity School, and a Doctor of Ministry degree from Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary, Al studied under Harvey Cox as a Harvard University Charles E. Mellow Fellow with a concentration in Applied Theology. Prior to becoming a full-time performance artist, Al served as a congregational Baptist minister for twenty-four years. In addition to his performing, he also serves as chaplain at Harris Methodist Hospital in Fort Worth, Texas.
Al Staggs will bring the story of the Bonhoeffer struggle alive in his dramatic presentation, and his sensitive performance of Oscar Romero will also focus the audience on the importance of making choices based on moral and religious conviction. His message is universal and will bring moving climax to our week. . . . short bio
