He is also chairman of Mashal, a non-profit organization that publishes books on such topics as women's rights, education, environmental issues, and philosophy.
Dr. Hoodbhoy has written and spoken on a wide range of topics. He created a 13-part documentary series in Urdu for Pakistan Television on timely education issues and has produced two other television series designed to popularize science.
