Jack Goldstein is currently the Executive Director for TDF (www.tdf.org). Over the past three years, in addition to his work at Actors’ Equity, Jack Goldstein has served as the Coordinator of the Broadway Initiatives Working Group, a new labor/management coalition that is in the final phase of establishing a new financing mechanism to stimulate the production of new plays and small musicals on Broadway, increase audiences, promote New York theatre, and encourage greater cooperation between commercial and not-for-profit theatre.Mr. Goldstein began his relationship with Actors’ Equity in the early 1980s as a special consultant. He formally became Special Assistant to the President of Equity in 1993 and has since advised Equity’s 72-member Council on all public policy issues. In addition, he has acted as liaison to other entertainment and performing arts organizations in these matters. Mr. Goldstein co-chairs the Theatre Advisory Council to the Mayor’s Office of Film, Theatre & Broadcasting and has served on the Advisory Boards of numerous theatre-related organizations including the Actors’ Work Program and the Aurora Residence of the Actors’ Fund of America. . . . short bio
