When Annette Pashayan got the news that she had developed breast cancer in 1994, she was a successful anesthesiologist, practicing and teaching at the University of Florida. But her healing odyssey took her to the field where her true passion lies. She is now the executive director of the Carolina Chamber Symphony in Winston-Salem, a singer with the Bel Canto Company of Greensboro, and a freelance booking agent for other musicians.
