Kim Rubinstein is Associate Artistic Director of the Long Wharf Theatre in Connecticut. She recently directed Guys and Dolls, the kick off production of Long Wharf's 40th anniversary season. For ten years Ms. Rubenstein was a full-time member of the theatre/acting faculty at Northwestern University, in Chicago, and her other teaching credits include working with Steppenwolf's Professional School, Wesleyan University, University of Chicago, and Teatro degli Stracci in Italy. In addition to numerous directing credits in Chicago, Ms. Rubenstein was Associate Director with Michael Mayer and the Tour Director of the National Tour of Angels in America, which originated at the Royal George Theatre. She has also been the recipient of a TCG/NEA (Theatre Communications Group/National Endowment for the Arts) Fellowship in Directing, was nominated for TCG's Alan Schneider Director Award, received an After Dark Award for Pan and Boone, and is the winner of four Helen Hayes awards. . . . short bio
